A PERSONAL NOTE

Good technology should feel
worth bringing home.

I built BOT.NEW because the most interesting AI products are often the hardest to find, judge and buy with confidence. My work is to notice the exceptional ones early, understand who is behind them, and give serious buyers a more human route to the source.

I am not trying to list everything.
I am trying to stand behind the right things.

01

WHERE IT BEGAN

Curiosity became a collection.

I have always been drawn to the moment an unfamiliar technology becomes a convincing physical object: a pair of glasses that changes how information enters a room, a small robot with surprising presence, or a creative tool that makes starting feel easier.

I began buying, testing and comparing these objects for myself. Friends and buyers started asking what was genuinely worth considering, and where the reliable supply was. BOT.NEW grew from those conversations.

02

WHAT I LOOK FOR

Taste is only useful when it meets diligence.

A striking photograph is never enough. I look at the product itself, the clarity of its use, the maker's ability to supply it, and whether it still feels compelling after the first demonstration.

The collection is deliberately small relative to what exists. Every object here has a reason to be here, and every listed price is replaced by an enquiry because availability, quantity and delivery route should be discussed honestly.

ABOUT ALISTAIR

A private buyer's eye, with a practical route to supply.

I am Alistair Harcourt, an independent technology curator based in Shanghai and working across a global network of product makers and suppliers. I am deeply interested in AI hardware, but I am not interested in novelty for its own sake.

When something earns a place in the collection, I can help buyers begin with a sample, understand current lead times, and discuss volume sourcing. I would rather give a clear answer than a fast one, and I will say when a product or route is not the right fit.

01 / SELECT

A reason to exist

The object must solve, enable or express something more meaningful than a passing feature.

02 / VERIFY

A credible source

Product identity, supply path and practical delivery questions are checked before scale is discussed.

03 / SUPPORT

A human conversation

Samples, quantities, timing and international delivery are handled case by case, without false certainty.

BUYING PRINCIPLES

Four filters before anything reaches the shelf.

They are simple on purpose. Good selection is less about jargon and more about asking the same hard questions every time.

01 / USE

Clear purpose

Can someone understand why this product belongs in their life?

02 / FORM

Considered object

Does the physical design reward attention beyond the demo?

03 / SOURCE

Real supply

Can the maker or channel support samples and repeat orders responsibly?

04 / FIT

Right buyer

Is this actually suitable for the market, quantity and delivery context?
